Jeffrey L. Tedder, MD, FACS

Dr. Tedder is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
He Specializes in General Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy. He is also an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
Dr. Tedder was born in Spartanburg, SC. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wofford College. He then attained his M.D. Degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Tedder performed his surgical internship at Cornell University and completed his Orthopaedic Residency at Einstein School of Medicine in New York City. He was awarded a Sports Medicine fellowship at the renowned Alabama Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Tedder trained under the internationally known James R. Andrew, M.D. and William G. Clancy, MD.
As a fellow, Dr. Tedder was a team physician for the University of North Alabama, a perennially ranked football power. He took care of many professional and intercollegiate stars while training under Dr. Andrews and Dr. Clancy. Dr. Tedder was given a top award for a paper that he authored on "Elbow Arthroscopy" during his Sports Medicine fellowship.
Dr. Tedder has been practicing in the Tampa Bay area since 1993. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is on the attending staffs of many local hospitals and surgery centers. He sits on the medical executive committee of one of these surgical facilities. Dr. Tedder provides orthopaedic team coverage for several local schools as well. He is a past member on the Board of Directors of the American Heart Society and annual contributor to the United Way and the Humane Society. Dr. Tedder sponsors a local softball team named the "Tedder Bears."
